Hidden charges and unanswered phones anger customers

Net dating sites attract more complants

The number of complaints against internet dating sites has risen dramatically in recent years, according to the Swedish Consumer Agency.

Most complaints are about hidden charges, particularly dating sites that first appear to be free and then cost several hundred dollars once a client has registered, reports newspaper Dagens Nyheter.

In the last three years the number of official complaints has risen from 16 to 90.

Many customers also complain that it is impossible to reach companies when they want to cancel their subscription to a dating service.
