Man barely escapes bear collision

A man in the central Swedish country of Hälsingland had a lucky escape while taking an evening pee outside his summer cottage, when a bear rushed out of the undergrowth passing less than a metre away from him.

The man was watching a young elk calf struggling in the local river, when a large bear emerged from the undergrowth, chasing the elk, and almost knocked over the man as it ran past.

Luckily, the man's wife was trying to film the elk at the time, and captured her partner's close encounter with the bear. Screaming at him to "Get back in the house, you old git", she caught the entire incident on film.
