Assange asks court to re-open case

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has asked the UK's Supreme Court to reopen his extradition case.

The court decided a fortnight ago that Assange could be extradited to Sweden to face sex crime allegations, but Assange's legal team claims that that decision was based on evidence they had not been able to challenge in court.

Re-opening a Supreme Court decision in the UK is virtually unheard of, reports news agency AP.
