In the Swedish Open women’s tennis tournament in Båstad, Sweden’s Johanna Larsson has won through to the semi-finals. In her quarter-final match Friday she she was ahead of Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic 2-0, when the Czech retired from the match.
In the semi-finals Larsson will face France’s Mathilde Johansson.
The other Swede in the quarter-finals, Sofia Arvidsson, didn’t fare as well, losing to Mona Barthel of Germany 6-3, 6-3.
But Sofia Arvidsson is still playing at Båstad, as she and Johanna Larsson will team up Saturday in the doubles semi-finals, against Eva Hrdinová of the Czech Republic and Bosnia's Mervana Jugić-Salkić.
