Swedish medal in Physics Olympics

For the first time in 10 years Sweden has won a medal in the International Physics Olympiad, an annual competition for high school students.

Johan Runesson of the Växjö Katedraskola has taken a bronze medal.

This year’s event, which is being held in Estonia, is the 43rd competition, and has brought together 371 students from 80 countries to test their abilities in the practical and theoretical elements of physics.
