Swede remanded in custody on Cyprus

The TT news agency reports that the Swedish-Lebanese man arrested on Cyprus on suspicion of plotting terror attacks has been remanded in custody for another week.

He was arrested on July 7th, and according to those present at his closed hearing, has been held on suspicion of espionage and conspiring to commit a crime.

He is accused of tracking the movements of Israeli tourists on the island in order to prepare attacks on them.
