Fire from Knivsta gas explosion under control

Between two and three people were hurt in connection with an explosion at the Aga gas company's facility in Knivsta between Uppsala and Stockholm. Police were alerted to the incident around 2pm.

Lisa Sannervik with the Uppsala police told Swedish Radio news Uppland that one of the people was seriously injured.

A large swath around the facility has been cordoned off, and the fire was under control by around 7pm.
