No more visas from Swedish mission in Belarus

The Swedish foreign ministry says that the embassy in Minsk has now stopped taking visa applications, in preparation for its closing by the end of the month. Starting on Tuesday, Swedish visas will be administered by Estonia’s embassy in Belarus.

The closure was ordered by hardline president Alexander Lukashenko following his decision to expel Sweden’s ambassador for meeting with members of the Belarusian opposition.
