Bomb identified near nursery school

Skåne police have confirmed that a device found at a nursery school yesterday was indeed a bomb. The school is, Junibacken, in Växjö.

Spokesman Göran Månsson says that the bomb could have caused injuries, but that there was no immediate risk yesterday. He says that they cannot reveal any further details, due to the ongoing investigation.

Robert Loeffel, head of information for the police, told news agency TT that there is no known threat against people, organizations or places in the area, and that the bomb could have been placed there by coincidence.

As of Friday evening, there were no suspects in the crime, which police have labeled as attempted devastation endangering the public.
