No cross-country medal for Kalla

Norwegian skiiers swept to victory in the women's cross-country event, with Sweden's Charlotte Kalla on sixth place.

At the world ski championships in Italy's Val di Fiemme Marit Björgen took gold, with two other Norwegians taking the other medals.

Charlotte Kalla was among the leaders up to the first hill, when after changing skis she fell behind. However the Swedish star ended up only 41.2 seconds behind the winner.

"The Norwegians set a punishing pace from the start" she says to Swedish Radio Sport, adding that she felt she could not keep up.

Sweden's Emma Wikén was 14th and Anna Haag 15th.
