American special ops suspected

Afghan clinic reportedly destroyed by ISAF forces

Andreas Stefansson, head of the Swedish Afghanistan Committee's office in Kabul

Swedish Radio News reports that for the second time in six months, international ISAF forces in Afghanistan have occupied and partly destroyed a health clinic operated by the Swedish Afghanistan Committee.

The committee’s Andreas Stefansson says they have unconfirmed reports that American special operations forces were responsible. After a similar incident involving American ISAF forces in October, the committee received reassurances it would not happen again.

The Swedish group and 26 other organizations running healthcare in Afghanistan have now called on the Kabul government to guarantee an end to military intrusions against clinics.
