Restaurant supplier recalls three meat products
A Swedish restaurant food supplier has recalled three products because of suspicions they may contain horsemeat. The results of the laboratory analysis are expected on Thursday.
All three products come from the Lantmännen company, but they in turn say they received the meat from Dafgård, the same company that produces Ikea's brand of meatballs, in which Czech authorities claim to have discovered traces of horsemeat. Dafgård said today that in over 300 tests performed in the last 3 weeks, it had found no horsemeat in the meatballs.
Restaurant wholesaler Martin & Servera says the recall involves meatballs, "kåldolmar" (stuffed cabbage) and "oxjärpar".
