Migrating birds turn around, dodging Swedish cold

There are less migrating birds in Swedish than usual for March due to the cold weather. Many birds on their way here have turned around to stay in warmer areas before coming back to Sweden, reports news agency TT.

"On the one hand, some skylarks and and lapwings have come to the far south, but not all that many wood pigeons or starlings," says Anders Wirdheim at the Swedish Ornithological Association.
