Bomb alert in Stockholm

Stockholm police had several buildings on the island of Södermalm evacuated on Tuesday evening after security guards found an object they believed could be a bomb in a money exchange office, according to Swedish Television.

Ambulances and fire trucks were called in and the Skanstull bridge, which connects Södermalm to Stockholm's southern suburbs, was closed off.

"We do not yet know what this object is, but bomb technicians are on their way," Lotta Goffhe with the police tells Swedish Television.
