ST Ericsson axes 600 jobs in southern Sweden

Up to 600 people working at Ericsson STMElectronics in the southern Swedish city of Lund are to be made redundant, after the mobile technology joint venture is wound-up.

The restructuring will leave some 1,600 out of a total workforce of 5,000 out of work globally, with between 400 and 600 of those jobs going in Sweden.
