Economic growth forecast for 2013

Both the Swedish bank Nordea and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise have projected that Sweden's economy will grow between 1 and 2 percent in 2013.

This is based on the fact that Swedish households, themselves, believe the economy will be better in the future. The estimate also notes that domestic consumption is rising.

However, unemployment will continue to be high at 8 percent, they say. Björn Lindgren with Swedish Enterprise, tells Swedish news media he believes the minimum pay rates should be lowered, so that more jobs can be created
