Billström apologises again for "blonde, blue-eyed" comments

Swedish Migration Minister Tobias Billström has once again apologized for comments he made to a newspaper earlier this week. Speaking during question time in the Swedish parliament Thursday, he said he will work even harder to be clear with his ambitions to implement a humane immigration policy, as decided by the government.

Billström had already been slammed by the Prime Minister for the comments, when he said people hiding illegal immigrants weren't necessarily good-hearted blonde blue-eyed Swedes.

Billström later told press outside the chamber that he had no plans to resign.
