Center Party calls for bonuses on green cars

Center Party leader Annie Lööf wants to make Sweden, within one generation, completely free of energy produced from fossil fuels.

Writing today in the newspaper Dagens Nyheter, Lööf outlined some elements in the party's statement of general policies before the 2014 elections.

The Center Party wants to give bonuses to people who drive cars with low emissions. The party also wants to introduce more renewable energy and continue to have lower taxes on company cars that are environmentally friendly.

The party also wants to introduce a bonus for environmentally friendly trucks and get rid of the taxes employers pay when they subsidize employees' public transportation costs.
