Greens: "no more meetings on immigration"

The Green Party says they have stopped cooperating with the government on immigration issues. Green spokeswoman Maria Ferm says to Swedish Radio News that they have had no meetings since their recent demand for a more generous refugee policy.

Annie Lööf is the leader of the Center Party, a small partner in the centre-right government. She says that the government should try to come to some compromise with the Greens, something that the prime minister has ruled out.

After the 2010 general election the Greens broke ranks with the opposition to work with the new minority government, in order to stop the anti-immigration Sweden Democrat Party holding the balance of power.
