Dry grass ablaze across the southwest

Despite freezing temperatures, sudden wildfires have broken out across southwestern Sweden, as the snow melts to reveal dry grass.

Swedish Radio News reports that some 50 fires were reported on Sunday, with firefighters called out at least five times.

A house in Lerum, east of Gothenburg, caught fire when the grass blaze spread too quickly to be tackled.
