Hezbollah Swede sentenced to four years

The Swede found guilty of terrorism in Cyprus has been sentenced to four years in prison, reports news agency TT.

The 24-year old man, who grew up in Lidköping, but who also has Lebanese citizenship, had admitted to being a member of the Lebanese millitia Hezbollah, which is considered a terrorist group by the US, but not the EU.

The Swede was accused of keeping track of Israeli interests in Cyprus and found guilty by a court in Limassol of conspiracy to commit terrorism.
