New cash for training schemes in budget

The government is to spend an extra SEK 3 billion over the next two years on university apprenticeship schemes it announced today, ahead of the upcoming Spring budget.

At a press conference on Tuesday, the four Alliance party leaders said the cash would mean another 12,400 places in education over the next two years, news agency TT reports.

According to Liberal Party leader Jan Björklund, this is the biggest new spending decision to be taken in the Spring supplementary budget, due to be presented on Monday.
