"Leave your car at home", that is the advice from local police in Örebro as heavy snow in central parts of Sweden has caused dangerous driving conditions.

According to Swedish Radio News police in the area are warning that many of the snowploughs have already been put into storage, and so will not be clearing the snow from the local roads.

But the snow will not last for long, warmer temperatures are expected for much of southern Sweden next week, temperatures could reach as high as 15 degrees Celsius, according to news agency TT.
