Ferry Collides with Tanker

A Polish passenger ferry carrying 140 passengers and 79 crew collided with a Swedish tanker off Sweden’s west coast Monday, but both ships were only slightly damaged.

No one was injured in the collision, which happened about 14 kilometres west of the city of Falsterbo.

The ferry ”Pomerania” was escorted to Copenhagen. The Swedish tanker, which had a crew of 13, continued to its final destination of Halmstad on Sweden’s southwest coast.
