One in three Swedes don't trust the food industry

The horse meat scandal that has rocked Europe has also lowered Swedes' trust in the food industry, according to a new study by the National Food Agency.

The study published Wednesday finds that one in three Swedes has little trust in the food industry.

And six of ten Swedes say they would be willing to pay more money in the future to guarantee that food production delivers sustainable and high quality food

But the study also finds that the vast majority of people in Sweden still believe that Swedish food production has a high quality.
