Herring fishing banned along Swedish coast

The Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management has banned fishing for herring for a large part of the Baltic Sea along the Swedish coast from June 10th, according to Swedish Radio news.

The ban will be enforced along the coast between Simrishamn in the south and Gävle in central Sweden. The agency says Swedish fishermen have already fished this country's herring quota for the year.
