Radio show prompts surge in organ donations

A radio program about how cancer patient Martha Ehlin survived thanks to five organ transplants has prompted hundreds of Swedes to register as possible organ donors.

"Over 500 people have signed up with the donor registry since the program was broadcast yesterday afternoon," Annette Richarrdson, division head of the Board of Health and Welfare told Swedish Radio.
