Train ticketing system back online
SJ, the largest train operator in Sweden suffered from an IT problem this morning, meaning customers were unable to buy tickets. The glitch knocked out the company's website and ticket machines, Swedish Radio News reports.
Travellers were therefore advised to purchase their train tickets on board.
In addition, a computer failure also hit the Swedish Postal Service, meaning customers were unable to track the location of packages. The website of Systembolgaget, the state-owned chain of liquor stores was also off-line. By early afternoon, the railroad operator's problem was resolved, and most of the other affected websites were once again operating normally.
