Pet fish push volumes down at loud nightclub

A Gothenburg nightclub has been threatened with closure after playing music that is too loud for its aquarium fish.

Tests revealed noise levels of more than 100 decibels at the club, local newspaper Göteborgs-Posten (GP) reports. Under Swedish law, fish may only be exposed to levels above 65 decibels temporarily.

The local council has requsted that the club either turn down the volume or remove the aquariums where the pet fish are kept.
