Sweden to boost aid to Syria

The Swedish government has decided to provide an additional SEK 42million in aid to Syria, Swedish Television News reports.

The main portion of the money will be used for reconstruction in those parts of the war-torn country which are currently not under the control of the Syrian regime. Part of the sum will be dedicated to the development of human rights and democracy, for instance by supporting individuals and organisations who gather evidence for potential future legal processes.
