Reports of anti-Semitism on the rise in Malmö

The number of reported anti-Semitic hate crimes has risen in the southern province of Skåne, going against the trend in the rest of the country. This year and last the number of reported incidents in the city of Malmö tripled compared to the previous two years.

The local authorities say the increase in complaints may reflect that the police are taking the problem more seriously.

Fred Kahn is the chairman of the Jewish community in Malmö. Is it the actual number of hate crimes that is increasing, or is it the number of complaints?
