Plane crash not as environmentally damaging as first feared

The air crash in northern Sweden last year, when a Hercules plane crashed into a northern mountain, did not cause as much environmental damage as was first feared.

The Norwegian military plane crashed into the tourist landmark of Kebnekaise in March last year, all five crew members were killed. Local authorities feared the large amount of fuel in the plane's fuel tanks would seep into the local groundwater, but according to Swedish Radio News so far very little fuel has been detected.
