The amount of LSD and ecstasy seized by Swedish customs officials has increased markedly during the first half of this year, news agency TT reports.

According to Mikael Lindgren, head of operations at Stockholm Customs, the drugs had almost disappeared from Sweden several years ago, but are now making a comeback, especially amongst the young. Seizures of LSD have increased more than tenfold

A lot of the drugs are sent via the postal service, but some are smuggled in across the border, according to TT. Customs officials in Helsingborg recently seized 10,000 ecstasy tablets hidden in a bus from Denmark.
