Hottest day of the year so far

Today was the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures reaching as high as 31 degrees Celsius in Ängelholm, in southern Sweden.

Temperatures were close to 30 degrees in many other parts of the country, news agency TT reports.

The hottest temperature until today was 30.8 degrees, recorded in Ronneby in Blekinge two weeks ago.

Meteorologists say the warm weather will continue for the next few days, even if it does not look like the mercury will pass the 30 degree mark again.
