Young man hit by subway train

A young man who police believe may have been painting graffiti was hit and seriously injured Monday night at the Kungsträgården subway station in central Stockholm, newspaper Aftonbladet reported.

Police believe that the young man suffered a serious electrical shock from the cables on the track, and was then dragged by an oncoming train a substantial distance.

"He was dragged by the last car on the subway. He got a big shock and is at the hospital," said police spokesman Johan Jönsén.

Police have not yet located any witnesses to the accident, which took place at 8:20 P.M.
