Dad gets 4-yr-old to jump from high diving board

A police complaint has been filed against a father who encouraged his four-year-old son to jump from a public swimming pool's 10-meter-high diving tower, despite the fact that the child had not yet learned how to swim.

The complaint was filed by the pool's Elfsborg swimming club together with the municipality of Borås, on Sweden's west coast.

The child landed awkwardly in the 5 metre deep pool, but was not injured. However, he was very frightened and a lifeguard at Alidebergsbadet dived into the pool to help him, local paper Borås Tidning reported.
