Man injured in Stockholm boat blast

A gas cylinder exploded on a boat in Värmdö outside Stockholm on Sunday morning. A man in his twenties was brought to hospital with severe burns and another man is believed to have gone missing, but on Sunday afternoon police said there may not have been a second person onboard the boat.

The injured man told the police that he and another man managed to reach land after the explosion, news agency TT reported Sunday.

Police used dogs and a helicopter to search for the second person, but on Sunday afternoon they called off the search in order to focus on finding out whether someone really went missing after the explosion.

"We are continuing to investigate whether there are grounds for believing whether there was another person involved," Lars Jensen of the Stockholm police told TT.
