Rain and landslides cause trouble in the south

Thundershowers and landslides have led to severe disruptions in southern Sweden Wednesday.

Lightning has struck in several locations in the Skåne region, and the district heating system is down. Traffic has also come to a halt on Österleden in Helsingborg, after a landslide there.

A couple of cars got stuck and had to be pulled out by rescue services, but no one was reported injured.

"We got the alarm at 7:45 AM that water and earth had amassed under a viaduct. We have cordoned off the area and rerouted traffic," Nils Norling of the Skåne police told newspaper Dagens Nyheter.
