Woman wanted anonymity - sues journalists

A reporter, a photographer and an editor from the newspaper Göteborgs-Posten were in court on Monday, accused of breach of professional secrecy. The paper last year published an intervju with a woman who had been raped, and a picture of her, where part of the face could be seen. The woman claims she had been promised full anonymity, and is suing the journalists.

The photographer says he had not been told in advance that the woman would be given anonymity, and he thought the woman gave a go-ahead to use the picture, which he had shown her in the camera's display. The prosecutor demands 50,000 crowns in damages from the defendants. They deny any wrongdoing. Sentencing will take place in two weeks time.
