Facebook less responsive to Swedish requests

The TT news agency reports that Facebook provides information to the Swedish authorities for around half their requests. That compares to 80 percent of information requests granted to American authorities.

This is shown in Facebook's first "Global Government Requests Report" and covers the first six months of 2013.

During that period Swedish authorities asked for information from the social media giant 54 times covering 66 users. The information was provided for half of those.

American authorities made requests about around 20,000 users, and received information about around 11,000.
