Sweden and Denmark join to help Syrian refugees

Neighbours Sweden and Denmark are cooperating togther to support the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR in its efforts helping refugees from Syria. Two experts from Sweden and one from Denmark are travelling now to Jordan's capital Amman to help establish a more effective refugee centre, according to Danish news agency Ritzau.

In total, 2.5 million refugees have now fled Syria. In Jordan, over 600 000 have sought refuge in towns and cities as well as crowded refugee camps.
