Oskarshamn reactor closes due to valve failure

One of the reactors at Oskarshamn nuclear power plant has been shut down following a problem with a valve in the turbine.

The valve failed to close, meaning water levels in one of the tanks continued to rise, news agancy TT reports.

Engineers have started an investigation, but cannot yet say when the reactor will be put online again. The other two reactors at the power plant are currently also out of service for maintenance work and refurbishment.
