Interest rates push upward in Sweden

Swedish interest rates pushed to a two-year high this week as mortgage rates, both variable and fixed, went upwards, news agency TT reported.

The 10-year government bond rate reached 2.61 percent around lunchtime Wednesday, a level not seen since July 2011. Interest rates fell in Sweden when the euro crisis was at its worst in 2011.
