‘Pure luck’ no bystanders hit in Malmo shooting

At least five shots were fired and a 23-year old man was seriously injured in Malmö on Monday night. The incident took place in the Bellevuegården area towards 11pm and one shot entered a nearby apartment.

“We don’t know how many bullets hit the man,” police officer Hans Nilsson told news agency TT, adding that it was “pure luck that no innocent bystander was hit.”

The man, who is described as being in a stable condition following an operation, run for cover in a housing estate after receiving gunshot wounds to his upper body.
