Mining accidents increase in Sweden

There are an increasing number of accidents in the Swedish mining industry, and inspectors believe it is due to lack of education, Swedish Radio News reports.

Statistics from the Swedish Work Environment Authority show that 161 people were injured while at work in a mine last year. That is 18 more than the year before.

Most accidents happen during iron ore mining and the most common accidents are with tools or that someone takes a wrong step.
