Have American gang wars come to Sweden?

Individual neighborhoods and streets in Sweden are now regarded as the turf for specific gangs, as is the case in much more populated countries, according to Swedish Radio News.

Following a recent spate of fatal shootings, Swedish police and researchers see an increase in gang-related violence rooted in low-income suburbs, similar to trends in the USA and the United Kingdom.

There have been seven fatal shootings in the Gothenburg area, five of which have taken place since the start of this year. Last week, two young men, ages 17 and 28, were shot to death in the Biskopsgården neighborhood of Gothenberg
