Nato-EU exercise in Baltic Sea

A joint Nato-EU defence training exercise is currently under way in the Baltic Sea. The headquarters of the exercise is in Karlskrona , traditionally an important base of the Swedish navy.

"This is the first time that Sweden is leading and planning the operation, together with Germany," says Jimmie Adamsson of the Swedish Armed Forces.

A total of 2,500 sailors and soldiers from 14 countries are participating in the exercise, which involves 35 naval vessels and 10 helicopters.
