Residents evacuated from Tidaholm

Residents in Tidaholm, in southwestern Sweden, are being evacuated following an industrial fire. No injuries are reported.

An industrial building near the center of the community has burned to the ground, reports Swedish Radio News. Residents are being moved from the area because of the presence of gas cylinders in the building.

One cylinder has exploded, but reportedly without causing major damage because the roof of the building has collapsed and serves as a protective barrier over the cylinders.

Swedish Radio News says the remaining cylinders may be shot into pieces as soon as the rescue services can get to them.
