Gas explosion in burning building in Tidaholm

Three families in in Tidaholm, in southwestern Sweden, were evacuated from their homes Sunday following an industrial fire. No injuries were reported.

An industrial building near the center of the community burned to the ground. Gas was being stored in cylinders in the building, reportedly a converted barn, and one cylinder containing oxygen exploded while the fire was being put out.

The area is to remain closed off until Monday morning.
