Were Saint Birgitta's holy visions caused by epilepsy?

Saint Birgitta May Have Had Epilepsy

Researchers at Linköping University want to investigate the cranium of Saint Birgitta.

The cranium of Sweden’s only saint rests in Vadstena and was previously studied in the 1950’s. Already then a researcher claimed that Saint Birgitta possibly had a tumour.
